German lifestyle magazine MAX, part of the Burda publishing group, is preparing a 36-page Marrakesh-Special for its November 2005 issue.

The publication will coincide with the inauguration of two long awaited direct flights from major German air hubs to Marrakech: Hapag Fly twice a week from Stuttgart; Royal Air Maroc twice a week from München.

Good news as well for Munich-residing Franz Beckenbauer, who just celebrated his 60th anniversary in Marrakesh and announced that this won't be his last stay here.

Shooting star Thomas Rusch.com fell equally in love with Marrakech. On behalf of MAX, he took the group photo above of agency and friends in the magnificent bar of UNESCO-classified Riad Narwama.

Heavy German media interest helping and now within easy reach, Marrakesh will certainly count among the top destinations in 2006.
